"Inn keeping" with our surroundings our menu changes with the seasons which is built around our passion for homemade, flavoursome and freshly prepared food. Wherever possible we try to support our local suppliers many, like us are family businesses who pride themselves on customer satisfaction. Essentially buying locally stimulates the local economy ensuring sustainability of rural communities, which here at The Fortescue Arms we are very proud to support.
Our menu embraces everything that is traditional about the Great British Pub, from hearty old fashioned favourites, modern international dishes, Sunday roasts and daily "Ian Recommends" dishes (Ian is our resident Chef & proprietor). However for those guests that are unable to choose a meal from our menu, please advise us, if we have the ingredients (and the chef is not too busy) we shall try to accommodate you!
Guests may dine in either bar or restaurant (it neither looks nor feels like a typical restaurant) where you can be assured of unstuffy service and a relaxed atmosphere. We are happy to cater for groups with prior arrangement and certainly welcome families, however for the safety and comfort of all our guests, we kindly request that children remain seated at all times. For parties of six or more a pre-order will be required and would suggest contacting us for current menu.
With reasonable notice we are happy to cater for those with special dietary requirements, however we are not able to accommodate those with serious or life threatening nut allergies as we can not guarantee the provenance of every individual item in meals produced by our kitchen.
